A HELPING HAND IN A CRISIS

Community Hive

COMMUNITY HIVE

Could you join us in helping others?

Do you feel encouraged to help our most vulnerable community members? If you’d like to assist with any of our community programs, to volunteer your time or expertise, we’d like to hear from you.

WAYS YOU COULD HELP

Practical Help

By contacting the Community Hive, people can register their or others needs or their availability to help. We see a range of help we can provide e.g. lending a helping hand with shopping, gardening or assistance completing forms. ALL have a different issues they may need help with.

Strengthening Community Teamwork

Our commitment is not to compete with other community organisations but to support and work with them for the benefit of the people in our community. As such, we will always share what we have and strengthen them.

Z

Our Strategy

Like bees in a hive, our volunteers work together as a team from a local venue. This is for mutual support and encouragement so that ideas cancross-fertilise and insights into improvements can develop.

Our volunteers are trained by qualified and experienced people with a high commitment to quality and integrity. They make regular contact with isolated people, initially by telephone. Then, having established trust, meet their practical needs, establishing what really interests them.

Can You Help?

We always need more volunteers who are able to contribute in other ways. It’s not about qualifications or prior experience, [although that is always valued], but more about what you value.
