Great News for Band of Brothers Qld Inc.!
We are thrilled to announce that Band Of Brothers Qld. Inc. has been awarded a grant by the Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF) to support our vital community work. This grant has enabled us to purchase much-needed computers for our volunteer operations. This boost will significantly enhance our ability to connect with and support vulnerable individuals across the City of Moreton Bay.
How This Grant Will Help
The new computers funded by the GCBF will be used by our volunteers to:

Coordinate outreach efforts to connect isolated individuals with services and social opportunities.

Manage communications between volunteers, stakeholders, and community partners.

Streamline reporting and administration, ensuring we maintain the highest standards of accountability.

Expand our digital capabilities, including online referral systems and community engagement tools.
This grant will directly increase the efficiency and reach of our services, allowing us to better serve lonely and vulnerable community members – including homeless women sleeping in their vehicle – and to continue developing our innovative programs to combat social isolation.

About the Gambling Community Benefit Fund
The Gambling Community Benefit Fund is Queensland’s largest one-off grants program, distributing around $52 million annually to thousands of not-for-profit (NFP) and community-based organisations. Established in 1994 under the Gaming Machine Act 1991, the fund plays a critical role in returning gambling tax revenues to local communities. By offering grants of up to $35,000 for eligible initiatives, the GCBF helps empower organisations that are making a tangible difference on the ground.
